Florian Stadler

Florian Stadler is a commercial and feature cinematographer who has shot award-winning spots for Nascar, Zippo, Marvel Comics and Lucky Brand Jeans. Raised on a diet of black and white stills photography and theater lighting, he eventually found himself lensing long-format narratives and has filmed six feature films since 2003.

Florian's first cinematic love is with enchanted realism. He believes great imagery tells a story through mood, rather than manufactured beauty. This visual philosophy is evident in his film "Love is the Drug", of which Variety's Justin Chang says, "Sharp screenplay and Florian Stadler's roving handheld camerawork deftly chart the tense undercurrents pulsing through the group [of characters]."

Recently he finished large scale experiential work for the Bradley International Terminal at LAX for Digital Kitchen's director Mason Nicoll. He also just finished the indie film "Quest" by first time director Santiago Rizzo.

Florian has shot hundreds of national and international commercials and his awards include two Bronze Clios, 3 gold Addy's, an MVPA Best Rock Video and short listing as an AICP honoree. He is an active member of the International Cinematographer's Guild and the Digital Cinematography Society.
