Blue Chip Films
Blue Chip Films is an independent film production company serving the TV, documentary film and corporate marketplaces.

Since 1998, we’ve been producing impactful documentary film work on subjects ranging from Polygamy to Domestic Violence for WEtv, and most recently, Insider Trading and Mortgage Fraud for FRONTLINE, the investigative film series on PBS and winner of over 50 EMMY Awards.

In addition, we’re experienced producers of series television for clients like FOX Television and SportsNet NY, for whom we garnered a region EMMY Award win (the network’s first for original programming) in 2015 for Oh Yeah, a fun, irreverent sports documentary series.

Executive Producer, Nick Verbitsky has been producing for PBS FRONTLINE since 2013, when he produced/directed To Catch a Trader, an investigative look at Wall Street insider trading, which garnered an Emmy nomination. Verbitsky subsequently produced Abacus: Small Enough to Jail (2017), which won an Emmy for Best Business Documentary, and received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature, and has produced/co-produced films like Weinstein (2018) and Documenting Hate (2019), as well as Opioids, Inc. (2020).

Verbitsky has won two national Emmy Awards, as well as a DuPont-Columbia Silver Baton Award for Excellence in Journalism.
