Since 1993 Soundcrafter has worked on both sides of the budget spectrum from studio productions of Richard Linklater’s films to small “no budget” films of students at the University of Texas at Austin. Although most projects are independent narrative features, documentaries or broadcast television shows, we also deal with amusement park presentations, commercials, gaming and web content.
Our many years of experience makes a big difference in the quality of the mixed dialogue, mixing for surrounds, use of compression, reverb, delay and other processing. We are also experienced with preparing the delivery requirements, including the foreign mix and preparing for the multiple formats like 35mm, DCP, HD, DVD and Blu-ray. We have many tools and techniques for enhancing poorly recorded dialogue and reducing noise. We have a large library of sound effects, and what we can’t find in our library we record in the field or in the studio. We enjoy creating expansive sound designs and are particularly excited about creating the unique sound that will compliment and help tell your film’s story.
Our goal is to provide a successful and smooth experience and enable filmmakers to shape their projects with the most creative sound work possible and do it with their limited funds.
