About All Access Staging & Productions
All Access Staging & Productions, Inc. has built its reputation as the can-do company. An inexhaustible work ethic coupled with attractive, reliable equipment has caused us to become a leader in the world of quality set construction and staging design. Our sets pieces and staging equipment have enhanced countless concerts, tours, television sets, parties, tradeshows, as well as a few beaches and sporting venues. In fact, there are very few places our equipment and crew hasn’t been!
The All Access company motto really does encompass our business philosophy:
ALL THE TIME
DON’T EVEN ASK
Our clients can us any time with virtually any deadline, and we make it happen. We really are the can-do company.
From our CEO to our on-location set-up crew, everyone here is a part of the All Access family. We were awarded the 2008 Pollstar Concert Industry Award for Staging / Equipment Company of the Year. While we know the equipment definitely had something to do with it, we would like to think that our heart distinguished us from the rest of the competition.
What we do
All Access operates a full-service company, supplying a variety of rental and sale equipment to the entertainment industry. Our primary product offerings consist of our patented Versa system, including indoor and outdoor Versa staging, turntables, towers, truss structures, and aluminum and steel barricade, our electro-mechanical products such as mobilators, conveyors, ribbon lifts, hydraulic lifts, scissor lifts, turntables, and our production services. However, our in-house capabilities go far beyond set design and stagecraft–we are experts in custom design work in many mediums such as plastics, foam and glass, as well as aluminum, steel, wood and fabrics. Additional capabilities include electro-mechanical R & D, LED staging, and computer enhanced design with VectorWorks software.
In our industry, we can literally take any idea and turn it into reality.
How we started
Founded in 1991 by Erik Eastland and Clive Forrester, All Access Staging & Productions initially began operations by renting equipment and sub-contracting projects while offering design abilities and expertise. Forrester and Eastland certainly had a great deal of expertise to impart as their company has grown exponentially each year into the one-stop shop it is today.
Forrester, an English native, gleaned his experience first from his time as an engineer for Showlites, Ltd. in the U.K. and then from the many years spent on the road in Europe. When he ventured to the United States for pre-production of the U.S. tour of “The Who” with Showlites, Inc., his work soon became indispensible. Shortly thereafter, he found himself working with such clients as the Rolling Stones and Genesis.
As time progressed, Forrester worked with a more diverse clientele, and he became involved with the Academy Awards, the US Festivals, the Olympics and many other projects in both a technical production and sales capacity. Over the years, his work went from that of a project manager to that of a corporate manager, with a strong emphasis on industrial sales. These are the skills that gave him the drive and the know-how to operate the now-international All Access Staging and Productions.
Forrester’s American counterpart, Erik Eastland, signed on with Showlites, Inc. as an associate in 1980, working out of their Baltimore office. He toured worldwide as a Lighting Director with such groups as Kool & the Gang, the Beach Boys, Edgar Winter, and Bette Midler.
In 1982, he was retained by the management firm of Patrick Rains and Associates as Lighting Designer/Director for Ricky Lee Jones, Gino Vanelli, and eventually, Al Jarreau, While on tour, he began handling the responsibilities of production, travel and management needs, and thus became the production manager as well. When Jarreau’s tour was on hiatus, Erik pursued independent lighting and production projects, including conventions, television and motion pictures, while specializing in music videos. This diverse experience prepared him as the creative genius behind many of All Access’ classic sets.
Our team has grown quite a bit since 1991. Industry veterans and celebrities in their own right, our sales team is comprised of men and women who know what it is like to be on the road, to get their hands dirty, to organize every part of the production. And our crew? They’re simply the best.
